Firefox – Dark Mode – Desktop
The night mode can be enabled in Firefox using the below option directly.
- Open Firefox browser
- Click on Settings (Burger icon on top right corner)
- Select ‘Customize’
- Click on ‘Themes’ at footer section
- Choose ‘Dark’ & click done.
This will change the white background to black & black text to white. Many internet users find this option very soothing for their eyes.
Since the text background is black, the light density entering into users eyes is less. The readers with few eye problems would feel easy to read the text with less glare on the screen.
Windows Dark Mode
In latest Os like Windows 10, You can set dark mode as explained in this page: click here to know how.
In case if the above option is already set at OS level, then Firefox browser will default to night mode. There is no need to set it to dark mode explicitly.
I am not sure about how many would like this dark mode theme. But, I am just loving it. It is so easy for me to work at night time or dim lighting. It reduces the strain on eyes & also it saves smart phone battery power.
