County cricket was never this famous in India before IPL.
Currently, 8 teams will play the 13th edition of IPL T20 tournament, which starts on March 29th.
The first match will be played between the defending champions Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super
Kings. Opening ceremony & match will be hosted at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai.
Like every year, this edition too would be exciting & entertaining for the T20 Cricket fans. Many will be excited to know about their favorite teams that are participating in this IPL T20 tournament. Here is some brief introduction to each team playing this year.

The list is subjected to change as per the auctions that might happen in any later time or due to injury to players. Hopefully the top players play full tournament.
IPL T20 – Recap
After India won the T20 tournament in 2007, T20 became highly popular among Indian cricket fans.
In the next year, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was started by BCCI, which is the board that
governs all the cricketing actions in India.
Basically, it changed the way cricket is marketed in India. The fans were delighted to see stars of different teams playing in the same team. For instance,
- Sachin & Ricky Ponting played for Mumbai Indians,
- MS Dhoni, Mathew Hayden & Albie Morkel played in CSK.
It brought in all the top players from different countries & entertained the fans consistently for the past 12 years.
It worked on the franchise-based system and the players were chosen through auction system. The team owners could place the highest bid to buy their favorite player and make a team. The model was an instant hit among the viewers.
