Google Docs Subscript & Superscript
This article explains how to write subscripts & superscripts in Google docs Spreadsheet.
There is no keyboard shortcut or formatting options available to do this.
The only way that I could get from net is to copy the below listed numbers (0 – 9).
It is prepared using “=char()” function. How? Lets find it out.
Type a Subscript in Google docs
For each subscript & superscript of numbers 0 – 9 , a specific code is used.
You don’t have to remember all these numbers.
Just copy paste the paste-ready value where you need to insert a numeric subscript of superscript.
Subscript | Sub – Code | SuperScript | Sup-Code |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 8320 | 0 | 8304 |
1 | 8321 | 1 | 185 |
2 | 8322 | 2 | 178 |
3 | 8323 | 3 | 179 |
4 | 8324 | 4 | 8308 |
5 | 8325 | 5 | 8309 |
6 | 8326 | 6 | 8310 |
7 | 8327 | 7 | 8311 |
8 | 8328 | 8 | 8312 |
9 | 8329 | 9 | 8313 |
If you want to derive these codes by yourself. Try this example.
To get 0 as subscript, in the Google spreadsheet, type the command “=char(8320)”
Press enter to get the 0 as subscript. Similarly you can generate corresponding subscript & superscript numbers by yourself in Google docs & use them in your formula, theory or Mathematical equations.
