Whatsapp Hidden Media Files
Wonder how to save your friends Whatsapp Status?
Believe me. It is that easy to extract any media files from statuses & group messages.
Notice that even Whatsapp hasn’t enabled a direct option for this. Not sure why users are kept away from such useful option. May be it is due in future versions.
Ok. So, whats this hype is all about !!!
Let’s jump right to the topic now…
1. Tricking – Whatsapp Friends Status?
Recently your friends post plenty of Whatsapp ‘Statuses’ as pictures with nice Quote or GIF Image or Media file – Videos etc.
You like many of them very much. But, there is no “share” button available for this. Only reply button is available. You want to copy it or share it with your other friends.
How would you do it, then ???
Yes. We do have a short cut for this.
>> Open File manager in your Android or iPhone. >> Enable 'Show Hidden Folders' option in folder options. >> Open folder with the name 'Whatsapp' -> Media -> .Statuses >> WoW. Its all here.
All the media files shared by all your friends as their “Statuses” are in this folder. The repository is just in your mobile itself. Have fun sharing these files.
Now you don’t have to request your friends to send the status pictures/gif/video with you to use it. Use just hack it, copy picture or video files and quickly share them with your friends.
Additional Tip: Also, delete unwanted status messages that is holding too much memory space in your phone.

2. Hide Whatsapp Pictures – from Android Gallery?
Nowadays we have lots of Whatsapp groups.
Somehow – someone – send inappropriate content. You end up opening the gallery in front of your family member before you realize that those content are visible from Gallery.
Oops. Yes. Well you are in that embarrassing moment.
How to avoid this? Use this trick…
>> Enable "Show hidden Folder' option in folder options of you Android phone. >> Open Storage -> Whatsapp -> Media -> Whatsapp Images -> Sent. >> Copy ".nomedia' file to 'Whatsapp images", "Whatsapp Animated Gifs", "Whatsapp Video" folders.
Now, the Photos, Video, GIF images from these folders will not be shown in the default mobile gallery. It will be hidden state.
Alternate Method: Other method is to disable “Media Auto-Download” from Whatsapp Settings -> Data and Storage Usage.
Beware: Only the default Gallery app will hide these media files. If you are using a separate app for managing Media files, then there are chances that these files will be visible on them.
These two methods will help in managing the Media files that are occupying more spaces in your mobile & manage them better.
